About Setsuko...

Setsuko George is a woman of many talents, sensitivity and tremendous self-discipline. After completing her degree in journalism Setsuko worked for several years in Tokyo as a software engineer and project manager. During this period she discovered that her real passion was photography. In 2002, after finishing a year-long database project for Mitsubishi, Setsuko decided to alter her life radically, follow her dream and come to the U.S. to study photography.

While studying in the San Francisco Bay Area she fell in love with fine art photography. With her typical determination and passion she threw herself into the discipline, spending countless hours shooting and even more in the darkroom. She quickly developed a reputation for a singular sense of design and aesthetics as well as a penetrating sensitivity to her subject. Setsuko had found her "voice".

Setsuko's distinct and unique vision bring an unequalled sensibility to any project she undertakes, from commercial and photojournalism assignments to her own private fine art work.
